The story
38 years of Eureka cars have gone through this tunnel.
Carriage Car Wash opened at 1441 Broadway in 1988. For most of that time it was the car wash in Eureka: the one on the main road, the one with the crew that scrubbed the bugs off by hand before the tunnel and toweled the car dry after it, the one that handed a biscuit to the dog in the back seat. Over the years 512 people left a Google review, and they kept saying the same things.
In 2026 the wash changed hands. Mike Munson and Dan Bobillot took it over and gave it a new name. Zenith. The crew stayed. The tunnel stayed. The way a car gets washed here stayed. The Quick Clean Out, the $65 inside-and-out in about twenty minutes, came with the new owners and turned into the thing the whole place is built around.
So if you have been coming to Carriage for years, nothing about the visit is different. If you have never been, this is the soft-cloth wash on Broadway where a person, not just a blower, is the last thing that touches your car.
