1441 Broadway, Eureka. Get directionsThree things worth knowing
Salt, mud, and the order to do it in
Get the salt off the underside
Eureka fog carries salt. Once a month, run the wand under the car and along the rocker panels. It is the cheapest rust prevention on the North Coast.
Mud first, soap second
After a ranch road or the Eel bottoms, knock the heavy mud off with the rinse setting before you soap. Soap on dry mud just makes paste.
Top down, wheels last
Roof, glass, panels, then wheels and the foaming brush. The brush picks up grit from the wheels, so keep it off the paint after that.
